COVID-19 Update

Hello everyone -

We hope you are all keeping well. I know it is very challenging for you all at the moment so you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

An update on how things will move forward as the school closure continues.

Teachers will be putting together further activities, projects and guidance for you which will be posted under your child's class pages towards the end of the Easter holiday.

We do recommend you continue to explore the many apps and websites that have been posted under the Useful Links of the Parent menu. There are also so many educators and celebrities who are now delivering some fun ideas on social media. For instance, Joe Wicks and his exercises at 9am as well as Jane Considine with her Sentence Stackers writing ideas every morning. Both are available on YouTube.

Additionally, I will be posting on the website - under Latest News - a regular #Illustration2Creation list of activities that could be completed at home inspired by a picture book illustration. These will include ideas for lego, painting, drawing, researching and making amongst many other things. I appreciate you may not have all you need at home but they are just ideas which I hope help you to fill the time.

We will be moving more towards project based ideas with the apps we have suggested to support the basics of maths, spelling, reading and writing.

It is important that structure is in place during the day which may include time for learning, however, we cannot expect you to be teachers. Being parents is the most important thing at the moment and with the weather being kind to us we need to make the best of it because we know that can change in this country very quickly.

Please STAY SAFE, everyone. We miss you.
