Blyton cum Laughton Church of England Primary School provides children with a wide range of Art based activities. As well as the acquisition of relevant skills we seek to develop the children’s understanding of what they see and experience, increase their powers of observation and develop their imagination. Inspired by the Reading-Inspired Curriculum, children study a range of artists and craft’s people in order to develop a greater understanding of their work. In Key Stage 2 we are developing the use of sketch books to help children understand the process from inspiration to a final outcome.
