  • Ethan's Festive Gift

Tue 19 Dec 2017 Mr Duke & Mrs Fernandez

Children at the Blyton site received a wonderful surprise gift this morning. Ethan (Willow) played a number of Christmas carols on the piano. The incredible thing is that he has only been playing the piano for 1 MONTH! What a talent!

  • A Festive Day

Mon 18 Dec 2017 Mr Duke

What a super festive day we have had at the school. The Carol Service at St. Martin's, Blyton was led superbly by children in Key Stage 2 and the carols were sung beautifully by the parents, governors, staff and most wonderfully by the children. Thank you to Mrs Clarke for reading Bishop Christopher's letter and to Reverend Mark for blessing us all.

The Christmas Lunches were lovely and it was our pleasure to invite many guests to attend the Blyton site.

Later in the afternoon, children from Clover class visited Blyton Court to sing a number of carols and wish the staff and patients there a very merry Christmas.

  • Christmas Fayre

Tue 12 Dec 2017 Mr Duke

The Christmas Fayre coincides with Christmas Jumper Day this year. We welcome any donations to the Save the Children charity but we are fully aware of the financial expectations on you at this time of year. Even without a donation your child is welcome to wear a Christmas jumper and feel part of the fun festive day.

The Friends of the School have asked for cake donations for the event. These are not just for Mr Duke to eat!

You may take your child/children home after the event but please ensure they are signed out at the front door. Mrs Patterson and Miss Miller will be there to support. We look forward to seeing you there to see the results of Industry Week and raise funds for the school.

  • ICT with Mr P

Tue 12 Dec 2017 Mr Duke

As we continue our focus on developing the Computing curriculum, we are delighted to be attending a day's workshop at Hemswell Court on January 2nd with our Village Partnership schools. The day is led by Mr P - a well known educator who specialises in demonstrating to teachers how they can use technology to inspire learning. We are all looking forward to bringing exciting ideas back to the classroom and engaging our young learners.
