Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Incredible discoveries have been made amongst the old cupboards at Blyton. Newspapers probably kept by the Headteachers, Headmasters and Headmistresses of the last 120 years have been found to our great surprise and delight. Amongst them are the original newspaper written the day after Queen Victoria's death in 1901. Also among the treasures are the newspaper with the headline 'The Eagle has landed' - can anyone guess which major news story of the last century this relates to?
The finds will soon be framed and displayed in school.
The first Celebration Worship
Friday 16th September saw our inaugural Celebration Worship, including our sharing of the new Celebration Worship prayer. The successful award winners had the opportunity to choose their rewards including our 'Readers of the Week' who could select a book to take home. Smiles were plentiful and we look forward to handing out more rewards next week.
Many parents attended and we may need to build an extension next week at the Blyton site!
We are delighted to welcome you to the first 'Meet and Greet 2016' event on the 14th September 2016. The event is open from 2pm to 5pm, so come and walk around the school and see children enjoying their learning. Feel free to speak to the adults in the school and look at the changes to the learning environment.
Don't forget to leave a comment on the Blyton cum Laughton Message Tree so that we can take on board your thoughts about the school.
We look forward to seeing you.
Mr Duke
