St George may not have been on parade this year but he has confronted the dragon and sent him away with a flea in his ear, but now he needs your assistance to round up the brood of baby dragons lodging in Morton.
He knows their general whereabouts and has marked these on the map but he needs to know their names and colour in order to keep track of them and ensure they are being sensible and well behaved.
Can you help?
It is simple to get involved!
Work your way around the village and look for the baby dragons who will probably be resting in the windows of their carers.
As well as being the patron saint of England, George is also the patron saint of Scouting and Guiding. He has left several coded clues which, when put together will give you four phrases linked to the Scouts and Guides.
Anyone regardless of age can join in and George has set some age ranges for each set of clues. You can do any or all of them, although you can only enter into one age category for the free prize draw regardless of how many dragons you find.
There will also be prizes for the most correct answers and phrases in each age category.
In the event of a tie, names will be drawn from a hat.
The organiser’s decision is final.
Please hand your completed entry to the dragon situated at the Morton Coop.
The trail is free to enter but George has suggested that if you enjoy yourselves to please make a donation to the food bank, also inside the Coop.
Closing date is Tuesday 11th May.
